Gill Parker

Gill Parker was first introduced to sculpture when she studied for 'A' Level Art at South Wilts Grammar School. Gill did not take it up again until 1982 after various other jobs and then she initially took up sculpture as a hobby.

The first bronzes that Gill took up to London were immediately purchased by Garrard and Asprey and she was further encouraged by the Sladmore Galllery who held her first solo exhibition in November, 1984. Since then, Gill has had many successful one man shows both in the United Kingdom and America as well as having received several prestigious awards worldwide. Her sculpture is much in demand and she has undertaken a great number of commissions including famous horses such as "Motivator" (2005 Derby Winner), which is a life size bronze at Ascot Racecourse and the Badminton Winner and Seoul Silver Medallist "Sir Wattie". Gill is also responsible for many trophies predominately in the equestrian field.

Last year one of her horse sculptures was selected by the crown jeweller, Harry Collins, as a gift to HRH the Queen. Gill is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists.
